Take a look around our small but efficient and functional Workshop.

A recent rebuild of a BSA Rocket III Mk1, amazingly it was on the original Std. bores. Not any more though, 25,000 miles and 38 years later a rebore is necessary.

Rocket III and CBX 1000 rebuild

We have just completed several Triton engines and an engine rebuild of a 748 and 900SS Ducati, and a Honda CBX 1000 six as well as the day to day servicing and repairs on BMWs, Harley Davidsons, B.S.A.s, Nortons and Triumphs both old and new.

Workshop equipment includes a very useful 20 Tonne hydraulic press, Myford Lathe, surface table, MIG welder, Wolf pillar drill and numerousvernier callipers, micrometers, dial gauges and vacuum gauges etc.

Please note that the workshop is run for service, repair and diagnostics purposes and is not a 'machine shop', I haven't the space, so if any specialized precision engineering is required (re-grinding, valve seat insertion etc), it is contracted out to a trusted and reliable local engineering firm whose work is guaranteed and well up to my high standards.

You may find cheaper, but you will not find better - Remember cheaper work means just that…..cheap!

Cosmo is a fully qualified and Factory trained Technician engineer with over 40 years experience on motorcycles and a member of the I.M.I.(Institute of the Motor Industry). He has worked for a prestigious Norton Triumph main dealer for many years as well as the RAC where he has taken modern diagnostic training.

He has served in the R.E.M.E. Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as a Vehicle Mechanic Class 1. So if you’ve got a 432 Armoured Personal Carrier and it needs a service please give him a ring………..only joking, but military motorcycles such as Armstrongs, Harley 45’s, BSA B40’s are most welcome.

Cosmo has competed and having an ACU road racing licence himself can Race prepare and fettle all your classic machinery for compliance with ACU or FIM rules and regulations and for durability.

All mechanical work is carried out with our care and attention to detail. We do not use the ‘brute force and ignorance’ methods which unfortunately seems to be only too common in some workshops these days.

We undertake all electrical work as Cosmo is a qualified electrical technician.

Labour is charged at £50.00 per hour plus VAT. We provide a collection and delivery service locally for just £50.00 plus VAT, we do pick up bikes from further afield at an agreed set cost.

Please note all engine and mechanical work is guaranteed/warranted for 3,000 miles or three months whichever comes sooner against defective parts and or defective workmanship, but there is no guarantee/warranty on race or competition machinery

If you wish to book work in, have an enquiry or just want a chat please ring Cosmo on 01424 437719.

We work on ALL classics old and modern, British, Italian, American, German and Japanese, we don’t care which, we love them all.

Some bikes will never be Classics, no matter how old (you know the ones I’m referring to!) and some machines were classics the day they came out of the crate, for example the gorgeous Ducati 916 or Honda FireBlade
